食得多甜野會加速皮膚衰老? Does a high sugar intake ages our skin?

攝取糖份愈多,就會有愈多膠原蛋白及彈力蛋白被醣化,醣化作用會令原本充滿彈性的膠原蛋白和彈力蛋白變硬,導致肌膚失去彈性、乾化易脆而產生皺紋、鬆弛。因此,要減慢肌膚老化速度,應減少添加糖份的攝取。

Both collagens and elastins provide the skin elasticity. However, glycation impairs their functions, leading to skin aging – loss of elasticity, dryness, wrinkles and looseness etc. More sugar taken in, more collagens and elastins to be glycated. Therefore, to slow down the skin aging process, added sugar intake should be minimized.

世界衛生組織(WHO)建議健康成年人每日添加糖份的攝取量不多於 50 克(相等於約 10 茶匙)。要減少添加糖份的攝取應盡量少攝取含糖飲料、甜食等,多喝水、多吃含有抗氧化物的蔬菜、水果、維他命等,例如:番茄、香蕉、堅果、奇異果等,幫助肌膚維持水嫩光滑!

World Health Organization (WHO) recommended healthy adults consume no more than 50g (about 10 teaspoons) of added sugar per day. To cut back on added sugar, sugary beverages and sweets should be avoided. Also, adequate hydration and consumption of vegetables and fruits rich in antioxidants, such as tomatoes, banana, kiwi, nuts, can help to keep your skin tight and smooth!
